My Life

Thank you all so much for coming to visit my Simple Life!

OVERALL I'd say I'm your typical "glass half full" kind of person, always looking on the bright side of life and always looking ahead to the future. I've been through a lot, but it's taught me to appreciate what I have, look forward to my future, but live every day like it might be the last one. Always say I love you, never go to bed mad. A good old fashioned kiss can solve a lot of problems, if you don't have time, make time. Dream as high as the clouds and to put all my faith in God, because he is the one controlling all of it anyway, not me.

KEEP ON DREAMING, EVEN IF IT BREAKS YOUR HEART

I'm from a teensy little town in Southern, Kentucky. I'm convinced that Kentucky is the nearest thing to Heaven on Planet Earth and you'll have quite a struggle in convincing me otherwise.

I am the youngest of two children - my brother is actually 17 whole years older than me!

My Dad passed away in 2007 and it completely through my life into a whirlwind. Plans that had been set in stone went out the window, and I started dealing with anxiety and depression and I still struggle to this day with those issues.

Mama Made Dorothy Costume - 1994

As a child and teenager and on up into my young adulthood I wanted nothing more than to shake the dust off of my teensy little SoKY town and become an actress in Hollywood. My life has always revolved around film, television and theatre. I would get so involved in a movie as a child that my Mom would make me costumes to match, so that whenever I watched it, I could play along.  The Wizard of Oz was a particular favorite. The picture to the right was NOT Halloween. It was like a Tuesday.... in June. So I started acting locally and was headed to Hollywood come my 21st birthday. But losing Daddy when I was 18 put a stop to those plans. I continue to act with a local theatre company (they're like my family), so I still get the thrill of a spotlight and monologue every once in a while.

I love to write. I've been writing since I was a child. I've always got a new story I'm working on and right now I've decided it's a good idea to start 3, count'em 3, novels at the same time, 2 of which are part of a series. I'm insane.

I have an Associate's Degree in Commercial Digital Photography. It was a long road to get me there, but I'm glad I finished college and that it's behind me now.

I met and fell in love with my sweet Aaron in February of 2008. By July we were engaged and a year and a half later we were married!

We adopted a puppy in 2011 - Tabby - and we are happily "livin' the dream."

We've been trying to have a baby of our own for about 2 years now, and it's been a difficult road. There is a whole page dedicated to our infertility struggles, if you wanna go check that out, you can click HERE.
